Only Buhari can zone presidency to South, we governors only advised – Governor Badaru

Badaru Abubakar, the Governor of Jigawa State and a presidential aspirant of the ruling All Progressive Congress, APC has said that the Northern Governors are ready to obey President Muhammadu, as the president decides to zone the APC presidential ticket to the Southern Nigeria.

The Governor made this revelation during an interview with BBC Hausa service on Sunday.

“The truth of the matter, it is just an advice that will be taken to Baba [Buhari], if he agrees to take it if he does not agree then whatever he decides is what we are going to work on it his since we are all Northern Governors are loyal to him,” he said.

“All of us are loyal to him and will not go against his decision”

He also said the Governors of Kebbi, Plateau and Nasarawa have been assigned to go and advise on our decision”

Governor Badaru also revealed that only President could tell him to withdraw from the presidential race.
