Oni of Ife, Olofa of Offa storm Ghana as Mashood Mustapha clinches traditional title in Accra
The executive Governor of Kwara State, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq on Sunday, 19th January congratulated a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state Hon. Mashood Mustapha on the conferment of Olu-Omo of Yorubaland in Ghana.
Governor Abdulrazaq in a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Rafiu Ajakaye said: “I congratulate Alhaji Moshood Mustapha and his immediate family on this honour which underscores his philanthropy and convivial nature. It is my prayer that Almighty Allah will continue to guide him to continue his good works.”
Mashood Mustapha, fondly called MM who by enthusiasts is a former federal lawmaker was today conferred with the traditional accolade of Olu Omo of Yoruba Land (Accra Region) by Oba Yoruba of Ghana, His Royal Majesty Alhaji Hamza Peregrino Brimah (VIII).
Meanwhile, Ooni of Ile-Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi Ojaja II, the Olofa of Offa, Oba Mufutau Gbadamosi, Esuwoye II, socialites and members of the Political icon in Nigeria and also graced the colourful event.
The event which was held at Forecourt, State House, Accra with Ghanaian President, Nana Akufo- Addo and Nigerian Ambassador to Ghana, Amb. Femi Abikoye in attendance.
The astute politician was offered the title which was ratified by the Elders-In-Council to the Royal Highness last year.
The chieftaincy offer was enshrined in a letter of notification sent to Hon. Mashood Mustapha at his home in Ilorin, Kwara state, Nigeria.
