Oluwatimileyin Ajayi, murderer of NYSC member sentenced to death by hanging

The High Court in Lafia, Nasarawa State, has sentenced Oluwatimileyin Ajayi, the individual accused of murdering National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) member Salome Adaidu, to death by hanging.

Justice Simon Aboki delivered the verdict, finding Ajayi guilty of the heinous crime of killing and dismembering Adaidu.

The court determined that Ajayi’s actions constituted culpable homicide, a charge that falls under Section 221 of the Penal Code of Northern Nigeria, which carries a death penalty.

This judgment serves as a significant statement on the seriousness of such offenses and the judicial system’s commitment to delivering justice.
