Official: INEC declares Saliu Mustapha as winner of Kwara central senatorial seat

Mallam Saliu Mustapha of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has been declared winner of Kwara Central senatorial election by Independent National Electoral Commission.

Mustapha polled 109,823 votes to defeat his closest opponent Bolaji Abdullahi of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP)

The Turaki of Ilorin  won in the four local government areas in the Senatorial district-claiming a difference of 40,675 votes from the PDP candidate.

Meanwhile, Bolaji Abdullahi garnered a total number of 69,148 votes to clinch second while Dr Ridwan Apaokagi of the Social Democratic Party(SDP) came distant third in February 25 election.
