Offa warlord ‘Oba Ezekiel’ appointed Special Assistant on Internal Security by Osun Governor”
In a surprising move, Governor Ademola Adeleke has selected Ezekiel Olagoke, an Offa native from Kwara State, to serve as his Special Assistant on Internal Security.
This appointment, conveyed in a letter dated August 9, 2023, from the office of the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Teslim Igbalaye, marks a pivotal development in the state’s security apparatus.
“I am pleased to inform you that the Governor of Osun State, His Excellency Senator Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke, has approved your appointment as a special assistant to the governor (Task Force on Internal Security and Local Areas) with effect from August 1, 2023,” the letter states.
Ezekiel Olagoke, often referred to as ‘Oba Ezekiel,’ rose to prominence through his instrumental role as a lead fighter for the Offa community during a communal clash with Erin-Ile.
Under his new role, Olagoke will work closely with the Special Adviser to the Governor on Internal Security and Local Areas.
