The presidential candidate of the Labour Party, LP, Peter Obi has quietly met with the former president of Nigeria, Olusegun Obasanjo.
Obi met with the former Nigerian leader at an airport in his (Obi’s) state.
The presidential candidate discussed issues of national importance with the former Nigerian leader.
Peter Obi wrote on Twitter: “I am very grateful for the quiet time with the former president, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo at the Anambra airport yesterday.
“We exchanged views on the state of play and state of the nation. – PO”
The Informant247 observes that the former president was among the notable Nigerian public figures who lent their political support to the presidential candidacy of Obi before the February 25 presidential election.
Obasanjo was in Obi’s state (Anambra State) in honour of the Governor of the state, Professor Charles Soludo who’s celebrating his one year in office.
The Informant247 recalls that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) announced Tinubu as the winner of the presidential election.
According to INEC, Tinubu came victorious with 8.8 million votes.
The presidential candidate of the main opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Atiku Abubakar came second with 6.9 million votes, while Peter Obi, had 6.1 million votes.
