NOUN alumni association inaugurates new Kwara excos

The Kwara State Chapter of the National Open University of Nigeria Alumni Association (NOUNAA) on Wednesday inaugurated its newly elected State Executive Council at the NOUN Ilorin Study Centre, Kulende, marking a new phase in the leadership of the association.

The inauguration ceremony, which attracted alumni members from various study centres across the state, including Ilorin, Offa and Sobi, was held in the presence of past executive members, general alumni, and representatives of the university management.

Representing the Centre Director, the Deputy Director of the Ilorin Study Centre, Mr. Olagbaye, congratulated the newly elected executives and commended the outgoing leadership for its service to the association.

He urged the new administration to work diligently and build a strong and enduring legacy for the Kwara chapter of the alumni body.

In his farewell address, the outgoing Chairman, Comrade Fatai Funsho Sanni, expressed gratitude to members of his executive council and the wider alumni community for their cooperation and support throughout his tenure.

He advised the incoming leadership to remain united and committed to advancing the goals of the association.

The oath of office was administered to the new executives by the national body of the National Open University of Nigeria Alumni Association through a virtual (Zoom) session, after which the officials were formally inaugurated.

Delivering his inaugural speech, the new Chairman, Comrade Alhaji Muhammed Olosun, thanked members for the confidence reposed in him and his team.

He assured the alumni that the new administration was ready to serve with dedication and to work for the growth and development of NOUNAA in Kwara State and at the national level.

He called on alumni members across the state to support the new executive council, stressing that unity and cooperation were essential to achieving the association’s objectives.

Several goodwill messages were delivered by alumni members from different study centres, all congratulating the new leadership and expressing optimism about the future of the association.
