Not everyone has what it takes to be president, says Tinubu

Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, an All Progressives Congress, APC, presidential aspirant, has said that it’s not everyone in the 2023 contest that has got the capability to lead the country.

The national leader of the party said this while having a dialogue with the party’s delegates in Katsina.

While speaking to delegates at the meeting which was held by Governor Aminu Bello Masari, his deputy, Alhaji Muniru Yakubu, and APC Chairman in the state, Alhaji Sani Aliyu Daura, Tinubu said he would create a stronger and more successful country, beyond the dreams of the country’s founding fathers.

He said he would solve the state’s irrigation problem if he makes it to the presidential villa.

“Katsina has many dams. We will work with the state to reticulate them. We will do this to combat irrigation. Katsina has the resources to be an industrial hub, to be a centre for industrialisation and prosperity. ” he said.

“Anybody can contest. Not anybody has what it takes to be president. I have the vision, the passion, the capacity and the competence to deliver for the country,” he told the delegates.

Governor Masari said Asíwájú Tinubu was a cosmopolitan leader, and detribalized politician, in whose hand the country would be safer.

The state chairman of the party declared the support of the delegates for Tinubu, identifying that for supporting their son, President Buhari, to win the presidency in 2015 and 2019, “we will support you too for 2023.
