Northerners living in South shouldn’t be molested over Owo church attack – Shehu Sani warns
The former lawmaker, Shehu Sani has warned that northerners living in the southern Nigeria should not be molested over the recent horrific attack on St Francis Catholic Church, Owo, Ondo State.
The Informant247 had reported that some unidentified gunmen had launched a massive attack on a church in Owo, Ondo state and massacred many of its worshippers during Sunday service.
Following the deadly incident, the former Senator representing Kaduna Central, Shehu Sani has extended warning to Nigerians, especially southerners, not to molest Northerners living in the region.
Shehu Sani made this warning on Monday via his Twitter handle, saying the aim of the terrorists was to cause havoc, vendetta and national strife.
“The intent of those terrorists is to trigger vendetta & national strife. They spare neither worshipers In the mosques nor in the churches.
“The North is a daily victim of their violence.Northerners living in the south should not be molested because of the evil acts of these terrorists.”
Meanwhile, the former legislator had earlier frowned at the attack on the Ondo Church, and described it as barbaric and condemnable act of terror.
“All Nigerians must be united in denouncing the perpetrators of this heinous infamy. Everything must be done to bring the assailants to book. Enough of this bloodshed”, he wrote.
