No Hausa Okada rider was killed in Kwara, it was only a robbery case – Police

The ‘F’ Divisional Police Station, in Ilorin, the Kwara State Capital has nabbed two robbery suspects suspect identified as Adam Taofeek and Alabere Adam.

The duo, who are in the habit of using motorcycles to snatch telephones from unsuspecting victims met their waterloo when they went about their criminal activities around Danialu axis of Ilorin, snatched a phone from unidentified victims and an alarm was raised by the victims, prompting Okada riders to give the alleged bandits a hot chase to Tanke.

Amid fear of being lynched by the raging Okada riders, the suspects submitted themselves to police operatives of Tanke Division where they were arrested and transferred to Special Anti-robbery Squad (SARS) operatives for discreet investigation.

When contacted for further corroboration, the Kwara State Police Command spokesperson, SP Ajayi Okasanmi said, “No Hausa Okada rider was slain as against the unverified report that an unidentified Okada rider was killed by the suspects.”
