‘No decision yet’ Coach Aliyu Zubair speaks on interest from top Nigerian clubs after winning President Federation Cup

The Technical Adviser of the El Kanemi Warriors of Maiduguri, Coach Aliyu Zubair has reacted to reportas of interest from top clubs in Nigeria seeking his signature.

No fewer than four top premier League sides have reached out to the Ilorin-born gaffer following his latest achievements of winning the President Federation Cup for the Elkanemi Warriors.

Aliyu told The Informant247 on Sunday morning that he is yet to make any decision as regards his future.

“Some of the agents of top clubs in the country has reached out to me but our camp is still in the celebration mood over the trophy we won. No decisions yet on those clubs that have shown interest in me.

Aliyu is reputed to be one of the few Coaches that has promoted two separate teams from the second tier league in Nigeria to the elite league as done few years ago when he promoted Gombe United to the NPFL and has also replicated the same with Elkanemi Warriors this year.

It’s an incredible season for the gaffer who as Assistant Coach won the FA Cup with Akwa United in 2017. Aliyu also become the first footballer to win the FA Cup for ElKanemi Warriors as player and as a Coach.
