Nigerians tired of listening to Independence broadcasts, leaders will be put to shame in 2023 – Nigerian pastor

Adewale Giwa, the Senior Pastor of Awaiting The Second Coming Of Christ Ministry, has revealed that the people of Nigeria are disinterested in listening to Independence Day broadcast by their political leaders.

Giwa stated that the broadcasts had always contained empty rhetorics, with no seriousness and readiness to develop the country and make lives better for Nigerians.

Pastor Giwa made this revelation while delivering a sermon in his church in Akure, the capital of Ondo State on Sunday.

The pastor announced that political leaders in the country lack commitment and seriousness to put an end to many crises facing the country.

He said many political oppressors will be disgraced in 2023.

“Nigerians are no longer happy to listen to Independence day broadcast by their leaders because they repeat the same broadcast every year.

“Our country is richly endowed with God-given resources but it is unfortunate that we don’t have leaders who can serve the nation in truth.

“Our political leaders are interested in playing to the gallery. Nothing to write home about, no stable electricity, infrastructure, good roads, among others.

“We can no longer sleep with our two eyes closed due to banditry that pervades the country. We need total and genuine restructuring or we break up.

“Let me also repeat what God told me during my new year message to Nigeria; the political oppressors shall be disgraced and put to shame. This must surely come to pass. They cannot escape it. They cannot escape the wrath of God.”
