A House of Representatives member, Ibrahim Al-Mustapha has claimed Nigerians love President Muhammadu Buhari, saying that the All Progressives Congress (APC) will win the 2023 elections.

The lawmaker also said the challenges in the country were signs of greatness that are not insurmountable.

The representative of Wurno/Rabah Federal Constituency in Sokoto State spoke to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Sunday.

He said Nigeria’s problems, including insecurity, were fixable, stressing that many advanced nations passed through lots of challenges.

According to him, once the nation overcomes the issues, Nigeria will become great in terms of economy, infrastructure, power, and others.

He called for unity and advised citizens “who are fond of celebrating bad news and negativity to stop”.

“Those supplying information and logistics to bandits and armed robbers should stop. Those entrusted with the task of fighting them should be more sincere.”

Al-Mustapha insisted that the North-East has witnessed relative peace since 2015 when the APC assumed power at the centre.

On the 2023 elections, he predicted victory for the party and expressed confidence that the new leadership would do well.

“Nigerians love APC, they love Buhari and I am sure you must have seen the tremendous progress made in terms of infrastructure since the regime came in 2015.”

Al-Mustapha said the government had delivered in different sectors despite “the numerous economic, social, security and COVID-19 challenges”.

“APC has performed when compared with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). I can comfortably tell you that the APC will win the 2023 general elections with a landslide victory.”
