Osun Guber: Edo APC chieftain blames Buhari for party’s loss
A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) from Edo state John Mayaki on Sunday blamed President Muhammadu Buhari for the loss of the party in Saturday’s governorship election in Osun State.
He accused the president of negligent management of party activities and ‘suicidal’ tolerance of anti-party activities within the ranks.

The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Senator Abdullahi Adamu, on Sunday disclosed that he was unaware a winner has emerged in the aftermath of Saturday’s governorship election in Osun State.
Adamu’s statement is coming in the wake of the party’s candidate, Governor Adegboyega Oyetola’s loss to the candidate of Peoples Democratic Party, Ademola Adeleke.
Bandits abduct pregnant woman, 7 others in Kaduna community
Some bandits on Sunday morning at 1:00 am, invaded a community, Lema in Mando-Kaduna and abducted eight people, who included a pregnant woman, and her sick mother.
A source in the area, Mallam Ali Hoto, said when the bandits invaded the area, they started sporadically shooting.

Bauchi State Commissioner for Education, Dr. Aliyu Tilde has disclosed that over 700 out of 1,000 women that were trained in partnership with the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), failed primary six mathematics, English and Essay.
Speaking on Saturday at a protest by the prospective teachers in Bauchi, Tilde said the government would put the future of millions of learners in danger should it employ them.

NLC set to embark on national protest over lingering ASUU strike
The Nigerian Labour Congress, NLC says July 26 and 27 would be National Days of Protest across the country to force the Federal Government and the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU to resolve their issues and suspend the lingering strike.
Recall that ASUU on February 14, 2022, shut down public universities over the inability of the federal government to implement agreements the two parties entered into in previous years.

Mr. Yakubu Maikyau, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, SAN, has become the 31st President of the Nigerian Bar Association, NBA.
Maikyau, SAN, gathered a total of 22, 342 votes to defeat his major contender, Chief J. K. Gadzama, SAN, who had 10, 842 votes.
