NGO donates food items to support Kwara’s fight against COVID-19
A Non-governmental Organization, Genesis Women and Children Foundation, says it has donated food items to support the efforts of the Kwara State Government in the fight against COVID-19.
The statement sent to THE INFORMANT247 said the CEO of the Foundation, Miss Praise Ebun-Oni, while presenting relief items to the deputy governor and Kwara COVID-19 technical committee, Kayode Alabi, explained that they are on a mission to support and aid the poor, vulnerable and high risk population especially women and children in Nigeria and other countries of the world to cushion the biting effects of the ravaging novel coronavirus pandemic.
She said that efforts are ongoing to extend the scope of Genesis Women and Children foundation Nigeria, US and Canada to other countries of the world stressing that assisting the less privilege members of the society remains the focal point of the foundation.
The Foundation said the deputy governor, Kayode Alabi, on his part, appreciated their generous donation and called for other individual and corporate organizations to support the government in the fight against COVID-19.
The foundation had on May 1 supported forty households in Kwara state with relief items.
