New Osun gov Adeleke plans to freeze govt accounts, orders policy review

The newly inaugurated Governor of Osun State, Ademola Adeleke, has emphasized the need to freeze the account of the state and to review the policies of the past administrations.

Adeleke who was inaugurated as the 6th executive Governor of the state, some minutes ago has said he would fulfill the promises he made during electioneering campaigns.

The Governor has announced that he will freeze government’s accounts and also directed that the policies of the past administrations be reviewed.

The Informant247 had earlier reported that Senator Ademola Adeleke of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, has been sworn-in as the sixth (6th) executive Governor of Osun State, Sunday (today).

Adeleke became the Governor of the State, immediately he observed the oaths of allegiance which was carried out by the State’s Chief Judge, Justice Oyebola Adepele-Ojo.

The Informant247 gathered that a massive crowd of supporters of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and guests from all spheres of life, converged at the Osogbo Township Stadium for the handing over ceremony.

Justice Adepele-Ojo, equally administered oaths of allegiance on Prince Kola Adegboyega Adewusi, as the new deputy governor of the State.

Many political actors and government functionaries graced the inauguration programme which took place in Osogbo, the capital of the State.

Among the dignitaries who were present at the handing over ceremony were the presidential candidate of the PDP, Atiku Abubakar, his wife, Titi Atiku, the vice presidential candidate of the party, Ifeanyi Okowa, Governors, members of the national assembly, among others.

The inauguration programme was also attended by traditional monarchs led by the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi Ojaja II.
