Never lose hope in greater nation – Tinubu tells Nigerians in Eid-el-Kabir message

In his Eid-el-Kabir address, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has expressed optimism about Nigeria’s future, stating confidently, “The toughest days are behind us.” The message, released in anticipation of the Eid celebrations, was a call to hope and resilience for all Nigerians.

“Though we may not yet be where we aspire to be, I urge all Nigerians not to lose hope,” Tinubu said, emphasizing the importance of perseverance as the nation continues to navigate its challenges.

The president highlighted the positive trajectory of his administration’s economic reforms, noting, “Our reforms are gaining traction, with key economic indicators now moving in a positive direction.” He expressed belief that these changes would soon result in tangible benefits for all citizens.

“The ultimate objective of these reforms is to transform lives and set Nigeria firmly on the path to sustainable development,” he stated, underscoring the commitment of his government to ensure that progress translates into real improvements in the lives of Nigerians.

In addition, President Tinubu urged the public to reflect on the values of sacrifice, devotion, and compassion during this festive season. He called upon citizens to draw inspiration from the teachings of Prophet Ibrahim (AS), embodying unity and love within the community.

The president also expressed sympathy for the victims of the flooding that struck Mokwa, Niger State, which caused significant destruction. “Let us pray for the repose of the souls of those who lost their lives and fortitude for their relations,” he said, appealing for collective compassion and support for those affected by the disaster.

In acknowledging the efforts of Nigeria’s security personnel, Tinubu encouraged citizens to keep them in their prayers, thanking them for their dedication. He concluded his message with wishes for a joyful Eid, stating, “May the joy and blessings of Eid-ul-Adha multiply in our lives and the life of our great nation.”
