NDLEA arrests general overseer of church over alleged drug trafficking

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has arrested the general overseer of a Lagos church over alleged drug trafficking.

The spokesperson of the agency, Femi Babafemi confirmed the arrest of ‘clergyman’ in a social media post on Sunday.

The GO alongside other persons was arrested over alleged attempt to take methamphetamine and skunk to Dubai.

The spokesperson posted on Twitter: “Church General Overseer busted! You go to seek refuge in the house of God and there the shepherd recruits you into drug trafficking.

“What type of playing is this? Anyway, the details of the arrest of Daddy GO & others by @ndlea_nigeria in Lagos will come in our statement at noon.”
