NDE boss begs loan beneficiaries to ensure timely repayment
The Director-General, National of Directorate of Employment (NDE), Mr Nuhu Fikpo, has urged beneficiaries of directorate’s loan to ensure that they repay on time.
Fikpo gave this advice on Tuesday at a one-day orientation on successful utilisation of the loan held in Yola by the Directorate.
It would be recalled that the 108 beneficiaries were given three months training before qualifying for the loan on sustainable Agricultural enhancement schemes.
Fikpo, represented by Malam Ibrahim Faisal, NDE State Coordinator in Adamawa, urged the beneficiaries to be serious and to understand that such loan was not a national Cake.
According to him, the N100,000 loan will be pay back in three years and
after repayment the same amount will be given to other people to start their own business.
He also advised the beneficiaries to understand that with good intentions on the business and the paying back of the loan, there was more opportunity for them to succeed.
Mrs Sakina Mohammed, NDE loan officer in Adamawa, said the loan had already been disbursed with nine per cent interest to repay back N3,050 monthly within three years.
She advised them to be serious in investing the money to be able to payback successfully and be on their own as well as employ others.
Mr Kenneth Maigida, the Head of Department (HOD) Small Scale Enterprise, advised the beneficiaries for successful implementation of their business plans and to ensure records keeping.
Maigida, stressed that this would guide them on the next steps to follow at the end of the year and how much investment and the profits made.
Mr Aminu Dahiru, who spoke on behalf of the beneficiaries thanked the Federal Government for the gesture and assured that they would repay the loan on time. (NAN)
