Nasarawa: Kidnappers flee, abandon ransom, weapons after road crash
A dramatic turn of events unfolded in Nasarawa State on Monday morning when a gang of kidnappers abandoned a ransom and a cache of weapons after their getaway vehicle crashed.
The incident, which occurred at Angwan Mayo along the Kokona axis, involved the suspects’ Peugeot 406 veering off the road shortly after they had collected ransom from their victims.
Eyewitnesses recounted that the criminals swiftly fled the site, leaving behind both the ransom they had gathered and their weapons.
Troops from the Nigerian Army later secured the crashed vehicle and recovered the abandoned items.
In response to the incident, security forces have initiated a manhunt for the suspects involved.
