The Nasarawa State House of Assembly on Friday unanimously elected Danladi Jatau, representing Kokona West Constituency, as Speaker of the House while elected Mohammed Oyanki, member representing Doma North Constituency, as the Deputy Speaker.
The Informant247 had earlier reported that the Court of Appeal, sitting in Abuja on Tuesday, sacked Mr Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi, the Speaker Nasarawa State House of Assembly and the member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) while declaring Mr Ibrahim Abdullahi Sa’ad of the People Democratic Party (PDP), as the authentic winner of the March 18, 2023, House Assembly election in the state.
It was learned that the new Speaker, Jatau, a member of the All Progressives Congress, collaborated with Oyanki, who is a member of the Peoples Democratic Party, to emerge as the leader of the assembly to maintain its existing peace.
