NANS meets DSS, MOTEST in Kwara, discusses students’ security, welfare | The Informant247
The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) Zone C has expressed concern over the security crises in the country, saying the situation calls for immediate action to prevent degeneration.
The student body expressed this concern, during a courtesy visit of the NANS leadership to the new Commissioner for Tertiary Education, Science, and Technology in Kwara State, Barr. Sulyman Senior Ibrahim at the State Secretariat in Ilorin.
The NANS delegate, led by Comrade Saad Baki, also discusses issues affecting the student community making emphasis on insecurity.
Baki also spoke on the forthcoming programme organized by the Association which he said is meant to address social vices among other menace affecting the student community.
For his part, the commissioner reiterated the state government’s readiness partner with the association in addressing the challenges confronting the students’ community.
Meanwhile, the association also met with the Director of State Security on the security crises in the country.
DSS, however, pledged to continue working with other sister agencies in keeping not only the zone but the entire country safe.
