Nancy speaks on nude scene in “Shanty Town”
Nollywood actress Nancy Isime recently addressed a contentious sequence in the recently released film “Shanty Town.”
‘Shanty Town’ made its debut on Netflix on Friday.
A group of ladies (prostitutes) in the project seek to elude the authority of a notorious kingpin. But they quickly understand that due to political corruption and family ties, doing so will be quite challenging.
But Isime was attacked on Twitter soon after its release.
She appeared to be nearly naked, with her buttocks and breasts seemingly on display, in a scene that many users found objectionable.
The actress responded in an Instagram post, claiming that the movie did not focus on her body.
A body double was allegedly used for the sequence, according to the actor and TV personality.
A person who is used on the set to impersonate another actor is known as a body double in the film industry. It is typically used for sequences involving nudity where the lead actor is unwilling to participate.
Models frequently perform the part, and their faces are typically covered.
