Suspected hoodlums on Friday seized Mile 3, Mile 2 Diobu Ikwere Road Port Harcourt, Rivers State, to protest the scarcity of money caused by the ongoing shoddy implementation of the Naira swap policy.
The Informant247 gathered that the pandemonium, which ensued early morning, affected areas when the angry youths chased people, robbed them and burnt tires.
The riot reportedly spread to Emenike Street, Okija forcing drivers to abandon their vehicles on the road and fled to safety.
However, the Rivers Police immediately deployed patrol teams to ensure normalcy in the areas.
