NAHCON announces N8.7m for 2025 hajj fare
In preparation for the 2025 hajj, the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has announced the fee for a successful hajj operation, with intending pilgrims from Southern states expected to pay N8.7 million, while those from Borno and Adamawa zones will pay N8.3 million.
The commission’s chairman, Prof. Abdullahi Usman, while stating this in a statement issued on Monday in Abuja by NAHCON’s Assistant Director of Information and Publication, Fatima Usara, noted that intending pilgrims from the Northern zone will pay N8.4 million for the pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia.
He described the fare as the result of extensive deliberations with key stakeholders, including the presidency and state pilgrims’ boards.

The statement read, “The 2025 Hajj fare for Borno and Adamawa zone’s intending pilgrims is N8.33 million. Similarly, the cost for intending pilgrims from the Southern states is N8.78 million, while pilgrims from the Northern zone will pay N8.46 million.
“This modest effort was achieved after extensive consultations to ensure inclusivity in the decision-making process.”
Prospective pilgrims were advised to adhere to Saudi guidelines, register early, and make timely payments to avoid inconveniences.
