My wife Chioma and I didn’t deserve son’s death —Davido

The popular Nigerian music star, David Adeleke popularly known as Davido has broken silence on the death of his son, Ifeanyi Adeleke.

The singer said everyone knows he and his wife, Chioma do not deserve the tragedy that happened to them.

He said he has completed work on the new musical album before the sad death of his son, but had to step back as he could not even operate on social media platforms for weeks.

The Informant247 recalls that the music superstar went on break on social media for 6 months following the passing of his son.

While granting an interview with an international media organization, the 30-year old singer said the passing of his son had some impact on his newly released musical album, ”Timeless”.

Davido said: “Before my son passed, we had finished the album. But it was a tragic situation and I really had to calm myself down and take a step back.

”Nobody would want that, and everybody knows that I and Chioma didn’t deserve that. At some point I couldn’t open my Instagram for weeks.

”One day, I just checked it and I saw messages from every kind of person in the world. I was like ‘you’re fine, you see everybody is rooting for you.’ That was one thing that really made me strong enough to stand up again, get back in the studio and do what I love.”

The Nigerian music superstar, Ayodeji Balogun popularly known as Wizkid has sent message of acknowledgment to his colleague, Davido, on the release of his latest album titled “Timeless”.

The Informant247 recalls that Davido released his much anticipated music album at midnight of Friday March 31, 2023.

The music album has gathered over six million streams on Boomplay and led the charts of the streaming platforms.

Wizkid has taken to Instagram to acknowledge the songs and praised Davido for the outstanding piece of work.

He told his huge number of fans and followers to get the musical album.

Wizkid wrote: “Inside!! Y’all go listen to timeless by my brother @Davido ❤️‍?❤️‍?❤️‍?”
