Muslim-muslim ticket: Kwara group praises Shetima, canvasses support for Tinubu
National Alliance For Shettima Legacy, NASL, in Kwara State has described the vice-presidential candidate of the All Progressive Congress, Senator Kashim Shettima has a leader who has made meaningful contributions to humanity and believes in unity of the country.
This was disclosed in a press briefing at the inauguration of National alliance for Shettima legacy, NASL, lead by the National Coordinator, AbdulRahman Idris Abdulfatah, on Friday, in Ilorin the state capital.
Senator Shettima, the APC vice presidential candidate has served as a two term Governor of Borno State and he is currently a serving Senator at the National Assembly of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
The combination of the duo has aroused controversies amongst some APC supporters, as the two candidates are from same religion.
The group assured Nigerians especially Christians that the duo have proven to be an impartial leaders, saying “We are confident that given the tenet of their faith and the Constitution of Federal Republic of Nigeria which they must work with, they are bound to be fair and just to all, irrespective of ethnic, religion, region, or other differences.”
One of members of NASL, AbdulRahman AbdulFatah said that the group is aimed at portraying dominant qualities of Sen. Kashim Shettima, describing him as a humble, intelligent personality.
He said, “We are well-meaning Nigerians who will work with like minds in projecting the true character and personality of Senator Kashim Shettima. He is a humble, intelligent, hard-working, visional, detribalized, and highly focused person.”
