MOK Foundation launches 2026 JAMB scholarship to support 1,000 Kwara students
The Muhydeen Okunlola Kayode (MOK) Foundation has launched its 2026 Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) Scholarship Programme, targeting 1,000 brilliant but underprivileged students across Kwara State.
The initiative is aimed at easing financial barriers for students seeking admission into tertiary institutions and follows the foundation’s recently concluded 2026 WAEC Scholarship Scheme, which supported 300 secondary school students with their West African Senior School Certificate Examination fees.
The WAEC scholarship, launched earlier this year in Offa, marked a major expansion of the foundation’s educational intervention and received widespread commendation from education stakeholders across the state.
Building on that success, the newly introduced JAMB scholarship is designed to assist outstanding candidates preparing for the JAMB examination, a key requirement for admission into universities, polytechnics and colleges of education.
According to a scholarship flier released by the foundation, applicants are required to present a valid O’Level result from WAEC, NECO or NABTEB, or an SS3 result duly signed and stamped by their school authorities.
Speaking on the programme, the Director of the foundation, Saheed Lawal, said the initiative underscores the founder’s long-standing commitment to education and youth development.
“The MOK Foundation remains steadfast in its belief that no talented student should be denied educational opportunity because of financial hardship,” Lawal said.
“This 2026 JAMB Scholarship builds on the success of the 300-student WAEC support and extends assistance further up the academic ladder to ensure sustained educational progress for students across Kwara State.”
Interested applicants have been advised to visit the foundation’s office at No. 157, Ibrahim Taiwo Road, Offa, or contact the designated phone lines for further details and application procedures.
Since its establishment, the MOK Foundation has consistently invested in educational programmes aimed at developing human capital and supporting young scholars.
The recent WAEC scholarship distribution, which benefited students across Kwara’s three senatorial districts, has been widely described by community leaders, parents and educators as timely and impactful.
