Mechanic who returned N10.8m ‘gets N50k as compensation

A mechanic simply identified as Timothy who mistakenly received N10.8 million in his bank account has reportedly been given N50,000 as compensation.

This was revealed by one of Timothy’s customers, Chinonso Ndukwe, on Facebook.

Ndukwe said Timothy looked sick when he was sighted him.

He said Timothy informed him the he was given N50,000 for his kind gesture.

“Today (Tuesday) when I saw him he was quite ill. He said he is having a headache,” he wrote.

“The man that he returned his money gave him N50,000.00. People can be really unimaginable.”

He said Timothy was not excited with the compensation, as he felt the man was “ungrateful and stingy”.

“My mechanic was visibly disappointed with the customer that gave him 50k not because he was entitled but because the man was grossly ungrateful, stingy, and materialistically cosmetic at its best,” he added.

“He is the one who felt entitled to the magnitude of Mr Timothy’s generosity by that peanut gesture.

“I will never sacrifice my liberty on the altar of verbal exchange with tireless Kangaroos such as Amanda Chisom who called Mr Timothy entitled because I shared my encounter with him on my wall.”

A mechanic whose name was simply given as Timothy has been commended for returning N10.8 million which was unintentionally sent into his bank account.

In a video which has gone viral online, Itoba who’s a contractor, said he made erroneously made a payment to his mechanic’s account, who refunded him instantly.

He disclosed that the money was meant to carry out a project, while thanking Timothy for being honest.

He recommended Timothy for members of the public, as he said anyone who needs his professional service can call on him.
