Many offices, files burnt as fire razes Kano police headquarters

Fire has razed the headquarters of the Kano State Police located at Bompai, Nasarawa Local Government.

Many offices and documents were reported to have been burnt down.

The operatives of the State Fire Service were mobilised to the affected scene to quench the fire on the one-storey building of the police command.

Unconfirmed reports revealed that the entire upstairs was completely burnt down.

It was also gathered that only the office of the State Police Commissioner, Mamman Dauda, which is highly fortified, was not affected by the inferno.

The spokesperson of the police Command, SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa could not be reached, as his telephone line was switched off at the time of filing this report.

Sources revealed that the cause of the fire incident could not be immediately ascertained.
