Man Utd qualify for league cup final since 2017
Manchester United will be playing in the final of the league cup against Newcastle seven years after winning the cup against Southampton.
The Red devils defeated Nottingham Forest 2-0 on Wednesday to complete a 5-0 aggregate on their opponents to pick the final ticket against Newcastle United.
Newcastle had earlier defeated Southampton 3-1 on aggregate to pick the final ticket.
It’s going to be a total showdown between both sides on February 26 at Wembley stadium as they set out to savour silverware.
Manchester United last final appearance in the final of the EFL Cup was in 2017 where they won 3-2 against Southampton.
