Liverpool to increase ticket prices next season

Liverpool will implement a raise in their ticket prices for the first time in nine years.

The increase which is pegged at 2% will take effects from next year.

While Junior and local general sale tickets will remain at £9 per ticket, the majority of general admissions will see a small rise.

The club stated the move is due to rising costs and added that no more than £17 will be added to the price of a season ticket.

Consultation over the potential impact of the new prices on fans was held with the LFC Supporters Board, who opposed the move.

Next season will see the opening of the new Anfield Road Stand which boasts of 7,000 to 61,000 capacity

The revamped stadium is expected provide an extra 1,000 season tickets, around 3,000 more general admission seats and increase the number of accessible wheelchair bays to 263
