Lionel Messi kept out of Inter Miami vs Atlanta match
The Seven time Ballon’d or winner has been left out of the Inter Miami squad that will face Atlanta United on Saturday in the MLS.
According to Coach Tata Martino, Messi was experiencing some ‘discomfort and fatigue that will prevent him from taking part in the game’.
Messi actually asked to be substituted in the final minutes of Argentina’s game against Ecuador and missed out in the second World Cup qualifier against Bolivia.
Reports also suggest that keeping him out of the game on Saturday will help him rest this weekend ahead of September 27 US Open Cup final against Houston Dynamo
A win against Dynamo will see him adding a second trophy to the club’s cabinet after winning the Leagues Cup earlier upon his arrival
