LG election: Erin-Ile group congratulates Akorede on PDP nomination

The Erin-Ile Concerned Group have congratulated Alhaji Sarafadeen Akorede on his emergence as the PDP flagbearer for the Oyun Local Government chairmanship position.

The group, in a statement by its chairman, Akinola Abdulrasheed, stated that this nomination confirms the party’s confidence in Akorede’s ability to deliver democratic dividends to the people of Oyun Local Government Area.

The group also called on the APC to nominate a candidate from Erin-Ile, emphasizing that it is now their community’s turn for the chairmanship position.

“We are patiently waiting for APC to announce one of our sons as the party’s candidate since it’s crystal clear that Erin-Ile is the next community for the chairmanship position,” the statement reads in part.

“The same gesture was extended to us by giving us HOR candidate for Odo-Ogun in the last general election which led to Otunba Afolabi’s emergence. Erin-Ile has the number required to winning both Assembly and chairmanship position and will not fold her arms to be robbed off this divine blessings.”
