By: Oladimeji Suleiman
Dear All,
It is my hope that this short piece meets you in peace.
I congratulate you all, as you have been selected by the Kwara State Government to participate in the event, I have no doubt you will be worthy Representatives.
As you may be aware the Inter Africa Trade Fair (IATF) is an event, aimed at bringing together businesses from all works of life in Africa, an innovative way to strengthen Africa business partnerships.
Also that Durban, South Africa is hosting this year’s event, in collaboration with Africa Continental Free Trade Agreement (AfCFTA) and African Export-Import Bank (Afrexim). This is the Second Edition, the First Edition was held in Cairo, Egypt in the year 2018. The Conference is expected to have over 5,000 participants, including you from across Africa. You will meet the likes of Albert Halwampa of Zambia, Mike Auret of Spier Film Fund, Augustine Chukwuemeka Uzoh, Afrexim, Mr Easi, emPawa Africa, Africa Music Fund, Olukayode A. Pitan, MD, CEO, Nigerian Bank of Industry, Bassem Loukil, the CEO, Loukil Group, Didier Drogba of Ivory Coast, as the speaker for this year’s event and many other big men in business.
It’s my hope that you will excel in the outing, by bringing in good deals to the state.
Please, permit me to draw your attention to one of the success stories of the 2018 event, held in Cairo, Egypt, the Elsewedy Electric Group got a deal of $45million contract with the South Sudan Ministry of Finance, the deal was to alleviate the country’s over-reliance on crude oil exports by establishing battery storage solar photovoltaic. It is my prayer, that with what you are presenting to the rest of Africa, you will get better deals than Elsewedy.
I wish you well.
