The statement noted that the deceased PDP chieftain would be in people’s memory for always putting the interest of the people before his.
The Secretary General said: “Prince of the East as fondly called by friends and family members will be missed as his wealth of experience would have been of a remedy to unravel the crisis currently facing the PDP, but if Ogbulafor was in the position of Iyorchia Ayu is facing currently as Nat Chair he will repeat history by doing the needful, he will resign honourably and restore sanity to the party by sacrificing his benefits and privileges for the unity of the PDP, as a royal Prince his words were his bounds, he keeps his promises while he lived.
“He resigned from his position as National Chairman of PDP in 2010 when Jonathan became the President, and to balance the political equation since former President Jonathan is from the South with him, and to allow a northerner to replace him, he voluntarily relinquishes his position as PDP National Chair for the north, he was a good leader with a human face”.
