The Kwara Youth Mobilization for Good Governance (KYMFGG) has announced its upcoming Personality Lecture to celebrate the remarkable contributions of Professor Fatai Aremu (PFA), the Executive Director of Research Enterprise System (RES). The initiative aims to mobilize youth for active participation in governance and community development, fostering a culture of responsibility and civic engagement.

The lecture, themed “Youth, Governance, and Development,” is scheduled for Wednesday, February 12, 2025, at Fresh Hotel, Ilorin.

Speaking on the program, KYMFGG Coordinator, Comrade Issa Lukman Oluwadare, emphasized the importance of youth engagement in governance and development.

“Professor Aremu has been a beacon of inspiration, advocating for youth empowerment and the integration of innovative ideas into governance. His contributions to research and development have significantly impacted both academic and practical spheres, making him a deserving honoree.”

As part of the event, KYMFGG will inaugurate the PFA Volunteers, a dedicated group of young individuals drawn from all four local governments of Kwara Central.

“We are bringing together stakeholders including students, youth organizations, community leaders, and the general public to celebrate leadership and the spirit of youth empowerment. This is an opportunity to honor Professor Fatai Aremu’s legacy and inspire a new generation of leaders committed to good governance and sustainable development,” Oluwadare added.

The event will feature a dynamic panel session where distinguished speakers and thought leaders will discuss the intersection of youth, governance, and sustainable development. The session will provide young people with an opportunity to learn from experts, share their perspectives, and explore ways to actively participate in governance processes.
