KWASAA to implement automation system for enhanced revenue collection
The Acting General Manager of the Kwara State Signage and Advertisement Agency (KWASAA), Mr. Toba Adeyeye has affirmed his commitment to adopting an automation system aimed at improving the agency’s operations and eliminating revenue leakages.
During a recent visit to Engr. Shade Omoniyi, the Executive Chairman of the Kwara State Internal Revenue Service (KWIRS), Adeyeye shared his vision for the agency’s future, stating, “KWASAA is automating its internal processes, transitioning all third-party practitioners and business entities onto a fully digital platform designed to enhance transparency, efficiency, and regulatory oversight.”
He emphasized that the new system would incorporate online payment platforms and specialized billing and collection software to streamline operations. Adeyeye called for the support and collaboration of KWIRS in achieving these vital objectives.
In her introductory remarks, State Commissioner for Communications, Hon. Bola Olukoju welcomed Adeyeye to his new role, noting that Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq appointed him to ensure greater transparency and efficiency within the signage and advertising sector. She highlighted the government’s commitment to curbing illegal and non-compliant advertising structures, aiming to restore order and strengthen accountability in the industry.
Engr. Omoniyi congratulated Adeyeye on his appointment and encouraged him to “change the narrative” at KWASAA. She assured him of KWIRS’s unwavering support throughout this digital transition. Yomi Ajiboso, the KWIRS officer responsible for overseeing Parastatals, echoed this sentiment, describing the digital transformation of KWASAA as a significant and welcome initiative.
