Kwara United Technical Adviser attributes Abia Warriors defeat to ‘hard luck’
Kwara United Football Club recorded a narrow 1-0 defeat against Abia Warriors in the NPFL match day 6 clash at the Umuahia Township Stadium. Originally scheduled for Saturday, the game was moved to Sunday morning due to heavy rain and a waterlogged pitch.
Despite Kwara United’s dominant first-half performance, the teams ended the half in a goalless draw, with impressive displays from Akanni Akeem, Shola AbdulRaheem, and the defensive duo of Yahya Ibrahim and Saheed Olaniyi. Goalkeeper Nurudeen Badmus made crucial saves early in the second half to keep the score level.
