Kwara United loses longest-serving driver, Ezekiel Akuete

The Management of Kwara United Football Club has announced the demise of its longest-serving driver, Mr. Ezekiel Akuete Oluwafemi, who passed away on Friday after a brief illness.

In a statement personally signed by the Club Chairman, Mr. Kumbi Titiloye, the death of Mr. Ezekiel was described as a colossal loss to the club, especially at a time when there was renewed hope that he was steadily recovering from the illness.

“His death came as a rude shock to us all. We sincerely believed Ezekiel was gradually recuperating, but God knows best,” the Chairman said.

Mr. Titiloye noted that the club will greatly miss the late Mr. Akuete’s wealth of experience, dedication, and years of committed service as the club’s longest-serving driver.

On behalf of the management, players, officials, and stakeholders of Kwara United Football Club, Mr. Titiloye prayed that Almighty God grants the deceased eternal rest and gives his family the strength and fortitude to bear this irreparable loss during this difficult time.

Meanwhile, Kwara United is expected to resume training from its mid-season break on Monday January 5,2026.
