Kwara United crash out of Federation Cup
Kwara United has crashed out of the Federation Cup after losing 1-0 to Plateau United on Sunday in the quarter final match played at Area 3 goal project pitch in Abuja.
Adam Yakubu’s lone goal was enough for the Jos-based side to reach the semi-final of the oldest competition in Nigeria
Kwara United fought hard to get an equaliser in the game but that wouldn’t come through as they ultimately lost the the bragging right of the North Central derby to Coach Fidelis Ilechukwu’s boys.
The victory now pip Plateau United up against Rangers in the semi-final while Bendel Insurance will also file out against Warri Wolves for the final ticket battle.
