Kwara United crash out of CAF Confederation Cup

Kwara United on Saturday night lost 2-0 to CAF Confederation Cup defending Champions, RS Berkane in the second leg of the second preliminary round of the competition.

Recall that the Harmony boys defeated the Orange Boys in the first leg of the tournament when they recorded a 3-1 victory last weekend at Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Lagos. The result had consequently placed them in a vantage position going in to the second leg.

However, the Kwara State owned team would have to surrender to a goal from Cheick Ouattara in the 17th minutes and another one from Charki Elbhari in the 54th as the defending Champions cruised to the next round of the competition on away goal rule.

The Morrocans were no doubt the better side in the game where they gave it their all in a stadium fully packed of their fans and supporters alike.

Kwara United will now have to shift focus to the domestic league with a hope to maintain their competitive edge that has now seen them finished among the top four teams in the last two seasons
