Kwara to hold monthly sanitation Saturday
The Kwara State Government, through the Ministry of Environment, has announced Saturday, 22nd of February, 2025, for this month’s environmental sanitation exercise.
According to a statement from the ministry, the exercise will occur between 7 am to 10 am.
The statement furthered that residents are enjoined to participate fully in the sanitation exercise by clearing and cleaning their residential and business environments, adding that there will be no vehicular or human movement across the state during the exercise.
The statement added that waste management trucks would be made available for waste collection and subsequent disposal at government-approved dump sites, warning that any attempt to obstruct or deny the government officials from carrying out their statutory obligation will be dealt with accordingly within the ambit of the law.
