Kwara to hold monthly environmental sanitation Saturday

The Kwara State monthly environmental sanitation will hold on Saturday, August 31st, with restriction of human and vehicular movements between 7am and 10am.

Ministry of Environment Press Secretary, Yakub Kamaldeen Aliagan, enjoined Kwara residents to fully participate in the sanitation exercise by cleaning their residential and business enviroments.

He added that waste management trucks will be on the street for waste collection and disposal.

“The security, monitoring agencies and members of the Environmental Taskforce will be on ground to monitor the compliance and it will be strictly observed across all the 16 local government in the State,” he said

“Members of the public are hereby warned that it is an offence to dump refuse on pedestrian walkways, road divider, drainages, canals, and all other unapproved dump site” He said.
