~Oyedepo Abdulhafiz remains the only recognised National President -Bisi Fakayode
~Rally witness massive turnout.
The National association of Kwara state students, under the leadership of Comr. Oyedepo Abdulhafiz, today holds a rally to mark the commencement of her one week program tagged, “NAKSS HARMONY VARIETY WEEK”.
The National President while reacting to questions from newsmen observed that the rally marks the commencement of the Union one-week program.
“Today’s rally marks the beginning of our one-week variety program. Unlike the rumour flying around, this is not a protest but a very peaceful rally and we are, equally, using it to create awareness ahead of the program”
“In NAKSS, we don’t have any faction. I, am the National president, and here with me is the Senate President, Comr. Muhammad Nura Muhammad and chief judge, Justice Lukman Oluwadare, so were is the faction? We urge the general public to discard the rumour flying around. We will also appeal to all members of the public to remain calm as the election approaches. The ELCOM under the chairmanship of Olatunji Hassan Taiwo, are doing everything possible to give us a free, fair and credible election.”
The Senate President also emphasis on the need for unity appealing for calm ahead of the December 28 Convention.
“We appreciate our father, the SA Labour and student affairs, Comr. Bisi Fakayode for his fatherly role and supports. He has been a wonderful father. And I will equally want the generality of Kwara State students to know that we are working round clock to give you a free, fair and credible election.”
The Special Adviser to the executive governor of Kwara State on labour and students matter, Comr. Bisi Fakayode while addressing the students maintained that Comr. Oyedepo Abdulhafiz remain the only recognised National president of the National Association of Kwara state students. The government will ensure everything possible to satisfy the students. And we can assure you that the government has released another money for the bursary of students outside the state.”
The students, who turned out in mass, however appreciate the SA Labour and student.
Recall that the Union Judicial Council has given indefinite suspension to the General Secretary, Comr. Muhammad Yusuf Oluruntosin and the vice-president (admin) pending the final hearing of the committee on the 8million Naira allegation.
