Kwara govt presents advanced ultrasound equipment to KWASUTH for improved healthcare services
In a strategic effort to enhance healthcare services, the Kwara State Government has presented advanced ultrasound equipment to the Kwara State University Teaching Hospital in Ilorin.
This initiative, aims to provide comprehensive healthcare services around the clock, was presented on Friday at the premises of the hospital.
Dr. Bola Ahmed, the Chief Medical Director of the hospital, who was represented by Dr. Idowu Ogunlaja, Chairman of the Medical Advisory Council, expressed his appreciation for the state’s support during the presentation ceremony.
According to him, “This landmark achievement will go a long way in providing affordable quality healthcare to the people of Kwara State and its environs.”
Dr. Ahmed also commended Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for his administration’s impactful projects in the health sector, promising that it is committed to utilizing this equipment effectively to ensure improved access to quality healthcare for our community.
The donated items include a state-of-the-art ultrasound scanning machine, alongside sophisticated solar panels and necessary accessories, reinforcing the hospital’s capability to deliver essential services efficiently.
The event was attended by prominent figures, including the Hospital Secretary, Mallam Yusuf Aliyu, and the representative of the State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Amina Ahmed El-Imam. Their presence underscores a collaborative commitment to advancing healthcare delivery in the region.
