Kwara pharmacists seek Emir of Ilorin’s support, reaffirm healthcare commitment

The Kwara State Branch of the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria (PSN) has paid a courtesy visit to the Emir of Ilorin, His Royal Highness, Alhaji Ibrahim Zulu Gambari, at the Emir’s Palace in Ilorin.

The visit, described as a working visit, was led by the newly inaugurated PSN Kwara State Chairman, Pharm. Munirat Kikelomo Bello, who made history as the first female chairman of the branch, alongside members of her executive committee.

The delegation said the visit was aimed at formally presenting the new administration to the Emir and seeking his royal blessings, guidance and support as the leadership begins its tenure.

Speaking during the visit, the pharmacists acknowledged the important role traditional institutions play in promoting unity, community development and the wellbeing of the people.

The new PSN leadership also reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening the pharmacy profession in Kwara State and contributing to efforts aimed at improving healthcare delivery across the state.

The visit provided an opportunity for the pharmacists and the Emir to discuss issues relating to healthcare, professional development and the broader welfare of residents.

The delegation expressed appreciation to the Emir for receiving the new executive and for his continued support for initiatives that contribute to the development of Kwara State.

The visit ended with the pharmacists receiving the Emir’s royal blessings as the new administration begins its tenure.
