Saliu Mustapha Foundation has put smiles on the faces of orphans in Kwara State, as it approved a WAEC Scholarship scheme for those without parents across the 16 local government areas of the state.
This step was taken in order to empower and elevate the lower class in the society.
The scholarship scheme was to complement the annual free UTME forms which the foundation has continued to present to the public for years.
The scholarship scheme was also a supplement to the annual Saliu Mustapha Foundation Inter-Secondary schools competition aimed at promoting education and brilliance among students of the state.
The launching of WAEC Scholarship scheme for motherless and fatherless children was assist the needies to achieve educational development in the society.
The educational programme was to prepare them ahead of future challenges and to be able to stand shoulder to shoulder with their counterparts.
Saliu Mustapha, the CEO of Mallam Saliu Mustapha Foundation was off the opinion that orphans have been relegated by the society and need to be well taken care of.
The House of Representatives hopeful considers out the duty of all and sundry to assist them and motivate them to greater heights.
The foundation has also said that nothing less than TWO HUNDRED (200) orphans will benefit from the programme.
