Kwara opens portal for recruitment of 1,800 teachers
Kwara State Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM) has announced that the application portal is open to recruit 1,800 teachers, 100 non-teaching staff, and 200 security guards, as approved by the state governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq.

The link goes live at midnight on Wednesday, February 5th, 2025, and closes on February 14th, 2025.
The statement urged all applicants to read carefully through the portal for guidance about the process.
The statement reads, “All applicants are advised to read the press statement initially issued on the recruitment process. The statement is on the portal for ease of reference.”
“For clarity, persons without a university degree in relevant subject areas should not apply. Holders of NCE who do not have a university degree should not apply.”
The statement added that applicants who meet the first-layer recruitment criteria will be invited for a computer-based test (CBT) at a centre closest to their local government of residence.
It said applicants who pass the CBT test will be invited for interviews, while successful candidates will undergo drug tests at approved NDLEA centres, among other verification exercises that would precede the issuance of employment letters.
“This process, for the record, will strongly balance between qualification, competence, employability, and availability to work in the hinterlands/rural areas where we mostly require teachers,” the statement concluded.

The recruitments, according to a report, are for the senior secondary schools across the state, with emphasis on the rural areas where teachers are lacking, adding that the application links will soon be released regarding the registration.
