Kwara NMA seeks partnership with NSCDC on safety of members
The newly elected executive members of the Nigeria Medical Association (NMA), Kwara State Branch have opened a strategic partnership path with the Nigeria Civil Defence Corps(NSCDC), Kwara State Command.
In a courtesy call to the NSCDC office in Ilorin on Thursday, the medical practitioners led by their Chairman, Dr. Abdulkadir Ola Ahmed were driven by the need for robust engagements with stakeholders in the discharge of their duties.
Stressing the importance of Security of lives and properties, Ola Ahmed noted that the safety of medical workers will enhance their delivery which will in turn bear more dividends on the society.
“We are here to introduce ourselves as the new executive members and partner you on the safety of our members because we believe that it is only when we are alive that we can give the best to the society,” said Ola Ahmed.
He expressed the need for a cordial and mutual relationship with the command, describing the security agency as an inalienable corps.
On his part, the Kwara State commandant of the NSCDC Commander, Tukur Ibraheem Muhammed described the NMA as a partner in progress giving their role in the delivery of essential services, especially in the event of emergencies
“I am happy to see you all team of Doctors here today and I want to assure you that we are going to provide anything that you need on our part to help you do your work effectively,” the commander said.
The event which was attended by the rank and file of both organizations is one of the moves of the newly elected NMA executive members to further entrench the goals and objectives of the association.
